Northwind Soccer Club is pleased to announce that Robert Turpin has been appointed the new Northwind Director of Coaching. Robert has been the High School Director for Northwind for the past 2 years and, effective immediately, will be the Director of Coaching covering the entire Northwind program! The Northwind Board felt that hiring a professional Director of Coaching was a natural progression as the club continues to evolve and compete at the highest level.

Briefly, Robert was a soccer phenom from early club days at Vardar III soccer club in Michigan and won the USYSA National Championship with this club at U16. He was a 5-time State ODP player, a 2-time Regional ODP player, and was in the U18 National team pool. Robert was All-State 3 years in high school and was the 2nd ranked player in the state of Michigan. Robert also played soccer at the University of Michigan.

Robert’s coaching resumé is vast and extends from U10 to college level over the past 17 years. He received his BA in Sports Management and Communications from the University of Michigan and his Masters of Education: Sports Programs Concentration from DePaul University.

Robert is a great person with a passion for soccer and is a wonderful asset to this club and all of the players in it. Northwind is very excited that he is our Director of Coaching and look forward to working with Robert!
